If the thought of giving up coffee forever is too scary then why not give it up just for Lent?
Many Christians make a personal sacrifice by abstaining from something for the 40 days prior to Easter. According to three of the gospels, Jesus spent forty days fasting in the desert before the beginning of his public ministry, where he endured temptation by Satan.
Alcohol and chocolate are common choices, but coffee is becoming increasingly popular.
Forty days is a great period to try something new, perhaps starting a good habit, or breaking a bad habit, and see how it sits with your lifestyle and whether you want to continue. If you’ve been considering cutting out coffee then this is an excellent opportunity to do so.
If you’d like some reminders on the benefits to giving up then see our ‘why give up coffee‘ section, and for tips and tricks on succeeding then check out our ‘how to give up coffee‘ section.
